Allan MacOchtery
The son of John 'Ochtery' and Ellen de Montealto, Allan Cameron, commonly known among his countrymen as 'Allan MacOchtery', became the IXth chief, whose reign was turbulent in the extreme. In his time began the feud between the Camerons and the Macintoshes. In 1370, after a Cameron raid into Macintosh lands, there was a battle at Invernahavon in which first the Camerons were the victors, then lost the second round. Allan had married the daughter of Sir John Drummond of Stobhall and died around 1390.
