Allan nan Creach

Allan MacDonald Dubh, XIIth chief, son of Donald Dubh succeeded his father around 1461. He married Marion or Mariot, daughter of Angus MacDonald of Keppoch. His second son John was the ancestor of the Camerons of Callart. Allan was a bloodthirsty warrior who was nicknamed 'Allan nan Creach' or 'Allan of the Forays'. Typically, he was killed on one of his forays about 1480.
