Ewen Allanson

The XIIIth chief was Ewen Macallan Cameron, Allan's son. He was eventually executed for his misdeeds at the age of 78

 

 

 

He had four sons. His first wife bore him a son, who became the progenitor of the succeeding recognised chiefs. There was also a natural son whilst Ewen was married to his first wife. After the death of his first wife, Marion or Mariot, daughter of Celestine MacDonald, Lord of the Isles, Ewen married for a second time, this time to Marjorie, sister of William, XIIIth chief of Macintosh and had two sons, the elder of whom became the ancestor of the Camerons of Erracht, a branch of the clan.
