Ewen Beag
Ewen Beag's father Donald had died around 1537, and Ewen succeded his grandfather whose long life was ended by his execution in 1546. Ewen died unmarried in 1553. He had an illegitimate son by a daughter of MacDougal of Lorne, and the tradition has it that he was imprisoned by her father and murdered during a rescue attempt. The son turned out to be one of the most colourful characters in the Cameron history, Donald M'Ewen M'Connel, known as 'Tàillear dubh na tuaighe' - The Black Tailor of the Axe..
